Join Us for Our Halloween Candy Buyback

After a night filled with ghosts, goblins, assorted superheroes and other costumed kids, your child likely has a sea of candy for you to sift through. While an occasional treat or two is okay, we discourage eating too many sweets as sugar is detrimental to one’s health. In particular, sugar can suppress the immune system, making it more difficult for the body to fend off sickness.

The Event Details

Because we care for the health of our patients and community, we are featuring a Halloween Candy Buyback event! Last year 265 pounds of candy were brought in. This year’s event will be held on Friday, November 1st, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. here at Coquitlam Family Chiropractic.

How Does It Work?

Participating in the buyback is easy:

1. We give you a Loonie for every pound of candy you bring in.
2. You get a healthy treat.
3. Your name goes into a draw to win an iPod touch.

You may even see Dr. Ali break-dancing, as it’s one of his favorite hobbies!

Candy for a Cause

All of the candy is donated to Agape Street Ministry. Every night of the week they give bags of candy to women in prostitution in the Downtown Eastside area of Hastings and Cordova in Vancouver. Each candy bag has the message of God’s love for them and where they can go to get true healing from addiction and sexual exploitation.
